This Year’s Finalists

These wonderful musicians have been selected as the Finalists in this year’s Grassy Hill Songwriting Competition. Each will perform a short set, before a panel of judges, during the Connecticut Folk Festival & Green Expo on September 10th.

The winner will receive a cash prize, will perform a short set on the Festival Main Stage later that day, and will be awarded a slot in the 2017 Festival lineup.

The Folk Fridays Concert Series

October through May, CT Folk presents Folk Fridays — semi-acoustic concerts in New Haven, often on the First Friday of the month. This year’s first show will feature the virtuosic guitarist and very entertaining Beppe Gambetta on October 14th.


These musicians, from our Auditions Night lineup, have been selected to perform at the 2016 Connecticut Folk Festival on September 10th:

New Director for the Connecticut Folk Festival & Green Expo

CT Folk is pleased to announce that Nicole Heriot-Mikula has been appointed as the Director of the Connecticut Folk Festival & Green Expo.

Nicole is a co-founder of the Celebrate Shelton initiative, which features the annual Downtown Sounds Summer Concert Series as well as, on the first Saturday of each month, the Downtown Handmade Market. She also serves as the Producer for the Soupstock Music and Arts Festival and is the founder and owner of Bring the Hoopla, an educational (hula) hoop company that brings the FUN back into fitness!
